CHCA

Cambrian Heights is a vibrant, mature neighbourhood tucked into Calgary’s northwest quadrant nestled between Nose Hill and Confederation Park. Known for its quiet streets, mature trees, and strong volunteer spirit, our community is more than just a place to live — it’s a place to belong.

As the Cambrian Heights Community Association (CHCA), we serve as a hub for residents, organizing local programs, representing community interests, and fostering connections between neighbours.

Mission

To enhance the quality of life in Cambrian Heights by promoting community engagement, providing programs and services, and advocating for thoughtful growth and development.

Vision

To engage the residents of Cambrian Heights and inspire participation in a variety of capacities to create a strong and vibrant community.

Objectives

To promote and foster Community spirit and better relations among the residents of the Community and with the Community at large.
To purchase, lease or otherwise acquire or hold lands and buildings or any interest therein for the purpose of giving effect to the objects of the Association.
To facilitate recreational, cultural, social, athletic, and educational activities of the residents of the Community.
To maintain and operate a centre for the various activities of the residents of the Community and a meeting place for the consideration and discussion of questions affecting the Community and the Association.
To otherwise generally serve and promote the interests of the Community as appropriate.

Cambrian Heights is formally established as a residential neighbourhood
1960-70's

Home construction surges; community hall and neighbourhood amenities developed
1980-90's

Formation of community groups and initial efforts to formalize neighbourhood representation
2000's

CHCA residents take a stronger role in local planning, events and advocacy, including the fundraising and building of the community playground
2010-present

CHCA builds the community garden in 2012 and makes a consistent effort to organize community events regularly
