After a successful pilot in the downtown core, the program is now opening up more broadly to property owners across the city.
What Is Agent Status?
The concept is simple but powerful. Property owners who enroll in the program grant Calgary police officers the authority to enter their property and act on their behalf when issues arise—particularly in cases of trespassing.
This means officers no longer need to track down or wait for the property owner before taking action. If a situation occurs after hours or when no one is available, police can step in immediately.

Trespassing and property misuse often happen outside of business hours, when response delays can lead to ongoing issues or escalating situations. By removing the barrier of owner authorization, the Agent Status Program helps:
