Recycle more packaging this October 

Calgary, get ready to recycle more! Starting October 1, 2026, you’ll be able to recycle more household packaging than ever before. This includes: 

  • Flexible bags like chip bags, granola wrappers and coffee bags

  • Foam packaging like cushion blocks, meat trays, and egg cartons

  • Tubes like lotion tubes, deodorant and toothpaste 

  • Food and body aerosols like cooking spray, hair spray and sunscreen
