June is the month where summer officially begins and we get to enjoy the best of Calgary weather and utilize our parks and recreational facilities to enjoy the outdoors.

May and June brings with it the greening of the city and our community parks. This results in bicycles being brought out of garages and vegetable gardens being planted.

April brings a focus on spring weather along a reminder about the unpredictability of mother nature based on our proximity to the mountains. However, we encourage everyone to take advantage of our Community park space and nearby Confederation and Nose Hill parks.

Our Annual Polar Party was cancelled on February 1 due to very cold and snowy weather conditions. However, the outdoor rinks retained their popularity throughout the month as conditions improved.

Our 8th annual Polar Party kicked off the month of February with skating activities, hot chocolate, snacks and a fire pit.

January is a new year and the heart of the winter season.

December brings with it winter weather but also the warmth and good cheer of the Christmas and holiday season. Our outdoor ice rinks will be in full use.

This month will witness an active period for the Community with the Casino fundraising taking place November 4 and 5 at the Pure Casino.

September witnessed our first Farmers Market each Tuesday from September 3 to October 1 in the community hall parking lot.

September brings with it a new year feeling as schools resume and the summers activities begin to wind down as mother nature starts a change in outdoor colours and temperatures in Alberta.

I hope everyone enjoyed the 10 days of Calgary Stampede as I know our family did. Sunny skies also provided ample opportunity to enjoy both nearby Confederation and Nose Hill Parks.

Our Annual General Meeting was held on June 18 and witnessed the addition of two new directors for the 2024-25 term.
